The Team

Our international staff are externally or internally Montessori trained.
We hold workshops where the staff can learn more about the Montessori philosophy and become familiar with the materials. We encourage the girls to take part in posture and first aid courses that we hold at the crèche.

The team is led by Samantha Stobart-O’Dea and Helen Clarke. Friends for many years, they both studied at St. Nicholas Montessori College in London and then went on to teach at Rainbow Montessori School in London under the excellent tuition of Linda Madden www.rainbowmontessori.co.uk. They both eventually became vice principals of the school. Sam is also a qualified Nursery Nurse with studies in Sociology and Psychology. Helen and Sam are mothers and have faced the challenges of balancing work-life with young children. Naturally, Sunflower was the crèche of choice for both!

The latest addition to our team is Debbie Johnston who took on the position of Chargé de Direction in September 2006. Debbie holds a Batchelor of Arts Degree in Humanities and Montessori Education as well as a National Diploma in Montessori Education.
