The team is led by Samantha O’Dea and Helen Clarke. Friends for many years, they both studied at St. Nicholas Montessori College in London and then went on to teach at Rainbow Montessori School in London.

Helen and Sam are mothers themselves and have also faced the challenges of balancing work-life with bringing up young children.

Our international staff are externally or internally Montessori trained. We hold workshops where they can learn more about the Montessori philosophy and become familiar with the materials. The staff also take part in first aid courses, Montessori seminars and childcare forums. Annually Sunflower sponsors staff to take part in a distance learning Montessori course. Our internal Montessori trainer visits each classroom to ensure a high standard of Montessori education is maintained.
