Sunflower sponsors the IOP Program in Tanzania.
In particular we support their Montessori school project, sponsoring the annual salary of one of their teachers.
Our Sunflower students have also raised money for the project through various fundraising activities such as baking and theatre performances. Staff family members have been fortunate enough to visit the school in Tanzania, bringing with them basic necessities and Montessori materials for the children there. They experienced first hand the daily life at the school and were able to bring back many photos of the children working there, doing many of the same Montessori activities as the children do here at Sunflower.
