The Environment

“Education is a natural process carried out by the human individual, and is acquired not by listening to words, but by experiences in the environment ” Maria Montessori.

Each room is a calm, ordered, and safe Montessori prepared environment. Children work on activities of their own choice at their own pace. They experience a blend of freedom and self-discipline in a place especially designed to meet their developmental needs.
All the exercises contain a control of error so the child is able to investigate the material. This promotes confidence and will boost the child’s self-esteem.
The environment should be ordered and attractive so it is suited to and respectful of the children’s inherent characteristics.
Guided by the needs of the children and the Montessori method, we believe that it is essential to provide an environment that not only meets the physical needs of the child but also promotes his intellectual development. We strive to create a social setting that encourages the child to develop his social skills.
